In the world of Skyrim, crafting and smithing are essential. For example, if you have the perk points, you can craft newer and more powerful armor in the smithy.
Smithing is not only important, it is also fun. You just need to gather the ingots and other items for smithing, and you will be satisfied by what you have created (if the item is what you would want).
You can also enhance the armor and weapons in a smithy, making them powerful until its limit (which is in the term 'legendary'). Upgrading the weapons and armor in the smithy have a major part in the combat system as you adventure the land."
Below are some of the examples of crafting and smithing in a smithy.
There are many different types of ingots in Skyrim. One of the most common ingots that you would find while exploring is iron ingot. You need iron ingots for almost every item in smithing.
One of the most common things to create the iron ingots in Skyrim is iron dagger (although uneffective for later levels).
Below are some of images of iron ingots.
Below is a table of some ingots that I have come across and the values. It is also included where to find the ingots.

Blacksmiths can be found in small villages and definitely cities. Which one is the best blacksmith, it is up for you to decide, because the blacksmiths' skills (for me) have the same skills.
But the most frequent blacksmith that I often visit is Alvor, who is located in Riverwood. Everything that I need, he has them all ready in stock for you. And the other blacksmith that I know is one of the best is Eorlund Gray-Mane, who forges Skyforge steel in Jorravskr.
Below are pictures of Alvor and Eorlund Gray-Mane.
We can enhance the armors and weapons in the smithy with ingots and other required items. The least enhancement for the weapon is the term "Fine", and the greatest enhancement for the weapon or armor is the term "Legendary".
I have never enhanced the weapon to its full potential (which is Legendary), but I have a great idea of how powerful it can be.
